The world’s largest Afrobeats and Amapiano movement, Afro Nation Portugal, returns to Praia da Rocha Beach from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th July 2026, and today reveals the highly anticipated second wave of lineup additions for its monumental sixth edition.
Following an massive first announcement, featuring 2026 headliners Asake, Tyla and Wizkid, alongside special guest Gunna, and more, the festival now expands even further with global trailblazers joining the LIT Stage.
Leading the new names is special guest Kehlani, making her anticipated Afro Nation debut. One of R&B’s hottest names right now and a culturally influential voice, Kehlani’s fearless artistry and chart-topping presence make her a standout addition to the 2026 celebration, continuing Afro Nation’s trend for attracting the biggest US stars to the beach in Portugal every summer.
Afro-Latina powerhouse Ludmilla also joins the bill, bringing her unmistakable attitude, genre-crossing versatility and explosive live energy. As one of Brazil’s biggest and most respected stars, her presence on the LIT Stage underscores the festival’s commitment to celebrating the wider diaspora and the sounds shaping modern Afro-influenced culture.
Standing out as one of the boldest voices of her generation, “Boss Lady” Theodora masterfully blends rap, R&B, amapiano, and Afro-Caribbean sounds altogether, creating a unique musical universe where energy and sensitivity perfectly coexist. The Franco-Congolese artist has established herself as a key figure in the new French music scene, and with 2026 shaping up to be Theodora’s year, she will be ready to mesmerise the Afro Nation crowd next summer..
With more artists still to come, including more names for the Piano People Stage and the full line-up for Afro Nation’s brand new Afrotronic Stage, expect cutting edge African electronic music from Amapiano, Afro House, Afro Tech, Gqom, 3-Step, Kwaito, Bacardi and more.
Proudly celebrating culture through music, food, art, travel and more, Afro Nation unites a truly global diaspora community from over 180 countries worldwide. For the first time, Travel Packages are available. This all-in-one solution is designed to simplify the journey by combining festival tickets with accommodation from 1-6 July. Designed to suit every type of traveller, the four tiers – The Zen Den & Hangout, The House Of All Nations, The Marina Drip, and The Flex – provide a seamless, premium festival experience from arrival to departure.
With the lineup still growing and anticipation riding high, each new edition pushes the limits of live performance, blending world-class production with the vibrancy of African creativity. As it enters its next chapter with a recent nomination for International Festival of the Year at the UK Festival Awards 2025, Afro Nation continues to be a driving force for African culture on the world stage. Not just shaping the future of festivals, Afro Nation is proudly propelling African artistry, identity and influence to new heights like never before.
